Amidst the dull scenario in Ahmedabad’s real estate market, an ultra luxurious apartment was sold for a whopping Rs 13,000 per square feet.
This is the costliest apartment deal in the history of Ahmedabad, in which the apartment has been sold for Rs 18 crore.
The ultra rich of Ahmedabad are now preferring apartments over bungalows due to safety concerns and modern amenities.
The buzz is that an industrialist has purchased a 11,000 square feet apartment in The Banyan, a project developed by Suryam group in Bodakdev area for Rs 18 crore. This is a fully furnished duplex sample house on the second and third floor of the building.
This costliest residential scheme is being developed on the area of 7,500 square yard. Two towers of 13 floors each will be built on this parcel of land. Each will have nine duplex apartments. The apartment has a super built-up area of 11,000 square feet.
The ultra luxurious apartment has five bed rooms, three living rooms, a kitchen, a dining area and a home theater. Each apartment will have parking space for six cars.
Director of Suryam Group Rajesh Patel said, "The demand for these type of apartments is increasing in Ahmedabad." He refused to comment on the deal. According to sources, 12 out of 18 units in The Banyan have been sold. The possession will be given in December 2019.
Chairman of property consultant firm City estate management PravinBavadiya said, "Some schemes have been sold at the premium rates of Rs 8000 to 10,000 per square feet. This is the first instance where property has been sold for as high as Rs. 13,000 square feet."
The luxury apartments have amenities like gym, spa, library, home theater, temperature-controlled swimming pool. Experts believe that many more such schemes may be developed in posh areas of the city in near future.
