He also spoke about the rapid growth that the state is achieving which will increase the demand for real estate projects. He was speaking at the Build East Conference organised by Indian Chamber of Commerce (ICC) in Kolkata.

He told that speed, quality and timely delivery is now the important mantra of today's real estate sector. He stressed upon the importance of solid waste management for a sustainable eco-friendly environment. Gita Balakrishnan, chairperson, Indian Institute of Architecture — WB Chapter in her brief speech told that architects need to provide solutions suited to the local need. She felt that quality of architects is more important than the quantity that is being produced every year.
