There is just no sign of the huge hoardings showcasing Purandar as the next big realty destination that were highly visible when the Chhatrapati Sambhaji RajeInternational Airport was announced over a year ago. Going by an unsaid rule, land should be up for sale now that the government has announced that Maharashtra Airport Development Company (MADC) will be the Special Planning Authority (SPA) for the airport coming up at Purandar. But lush green fields greet any visitor all along the seven villages of Pargaon Memane, Khanavdi, Munjavdi, Ekhatpur, Udhachiwadi, Kumbharvalan and Vanpuri that will be affected by the airport. There are no boards and even passers-by they shake their heads and say they know of no realty projects in that area.
