The Delhi Metro Rail Corporation (DMRC) on Tuesday submitted a revised detailed project report (DPR) for a further extension of the Blue Line — the metro phase 3 corridor (Noida Electronic City-Mohan Nagar). According to the report, the total cost of this line connecting Noida and Ghaziabad has been pegged at Rs 1,866 crore with six stations planned.
The DPR also includes another line, extending the Blue Line in Ghaziabad from Vaishali to Vasundhara Sector 2 — which has been termed phase 4— and work will be taken up after completion of the phase 3 project. “DMRC has submitted a revised DPR for metro phase 3 line and as per the DPR, it will have six stations — Vaibhav Khand, DPS Indirapuram, Shakti Khand, Vasundhra Sector 5, Vasundhara Sector 2 and Mohan Nagar,” said Kanchan Verma, the vice-chairperson, Ghaziabad Development Authority (GDA).
