Pimpri Chinchwad Municipal Corporation waives property tax for eco-friendly societies

The standing committee of Pimpri Chinchwad Municipal Corporation (PCMC) has cleared the civic administration’s proposal for increasing concession in property tax of housing societies implementing environment conservation measures. There will be two categories in the contest for the ideal environment balanced housing society. The first group will be of housing societies having 12 to 100 flats/bungalows/ row houses and the second group will be of those having more than 100 flats/bungalows/row houses. One housing society each will be chosen for ideal environmentally balanced housing society award from the eight zonal offices of the city from Group 1 and 2. The application form and criteria for evaluating will be prepared after municipal commissioner’s approval. The applicant societies must mandatorily pay 100% water tax and 90% of their members must pay the property tax.
