Developers of 17 projects across Noida and Greater Noida have been told to ensure delivery of 50,000 flats to investors by December 12 “at any cost” by the three-member cabinet committee of ministers. Of these, 20,000 flats will be handed over within one-and-a-half months, officials said.
After a meeting with builders, homebuyers and top administrators from Noida and Greater Noida in Delhi, committee member Suresh Khanna, who is UP’s urban housing and development minister, said the developers have already identified some 20,000 flats which would to be delivered soon to their owners.
He informed that over 3,700 flats have already been delivered by the builders from the day of the formation of the committee and the builders have assured them that they have moved forward on their promise and many of them have either applied for a completion certificate or will apply for the same in the coming days.
On the instructions of Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath, the ministerial committee had set the three-month deadline of December 12 for the delivery of 50,000 flats to homebuyers.
