The district administration on Thursday announced that the stamps and registration department will remain open for all seven days to ensure 50,000 flats are delivered by the developers, as promised in the recent meeting with UP chief minister Yogi Adityanath.
“On September 12, Yogi Adityanath had asked officials to ensure that about 50,000 homebuyers get possession of their flats in Noida and Greater Noida areas in the next three months. Considering this as priority, we have decided that the registry department will remain open on all seven days. Officials will be available to assist people in the registration process,” district magistrate BN Singh said.
The district administration has also introduced online registry of properties in the twin cities of Noida and Greater Noida. The initiative aims at creating transparency and also reducing crowd at the registry office. The district magistrate said the homebuyers can log into UP government’s website — igrsup.gov.in. “There they will get an option of apply for registry of properties. The users will find 72 kinds of forms like sale and purchase, will, lease agreement, etc. The users will fill up the forms themselves and submit with required documents online,” he said.
S K Singh, assistant commissioner of stamps, Gautam Budh Nagar, said once the form is submitted, the users will receive an online receipt. “The online receipt will be valid for four months. The people will then visit the registry department to complete the formalities of registration,” he said. The department will be able to make digital records of the properties bought and sold in the district.
