State-owned NBCC reported a 6 per cent increase in its consolidated net profit at Rs 68.34 crore for the quarter ended December. Its net profit stood at Rs 64.44 crore in the year-ago period, the company said in a regulatory filing.
Total income fell to Rs 1,546.47 crore in the third quarter of this fiscal from Rs 1,738.72 crore in the corresponding period of the previous year.
The board has also recommended splitting of the company's equity shares of Rs 2 each into two equity shares of face value of Rs 1/each subject to shareholders' approval.
NBCC, which is under the administrative control of Ministry of Housing and Urban Affairs, is present in three main segments - Project Management Consultancy (PMC), Real Estate Development and EPC Contracting.
