According to a company statement, the larger chunk of the orders has been secured by L&T's power transmission & distribution vertical that has won orders worth Rs. 1,331 crore both in domestic and international markets. This includes orders for turnkey construction of various power substations and high voltage cable feeders in West Asia.
In the domestic market, the company has secured an order from Jharkhand Bijli Vitran Nigam Ltd (JBVNL) for rural electrification project under the Deendayal Upadhyay Gram Jyoti Yojana (DDUGJY).
Some of the new EPC contracts include a convention centre in Ranchi, Jharkhand, and a contract from Metro-Link Express for Gandhinagar and Ahmedabad (MEGA) Company Ltd for design, supply, installation, testing and commissioning of track works for the Ahmedabad Metro Rail Project Phase-1.
