Nearly 100 buyers of Jaypee Wish Town project protested outside the SSP office in Sector 14A on Saturday against the directors of the company. The protesters were demanding “immediate arrest” of company’s directors alleging there has been no headway in the FIR lodged against the brass of Jaypee group even after five months. An FIR was lodged against the company directors on April 15 after the buyers sat on a protest outside the office of the then SSP Dharmendra Yadav.
On Saturday, the buyers, who have invested in the mega housing project of 35,000 flats, arrived at the SSP office around 11.30am. They said they would not leave the place until the SSP or the SP (crime) updates them about the status of the investigation in the case. They had heated arguments with circle officer II Rajeev Kumar, SHO Sector 20 Anil Shahi and SHO Sector 24 Umed Yadav.
The circle officer told the buyers that since the matter pertains to financial fraud, the signatures of the directors need to be verified by the Central Forensic Science Laboratory, New Delhi. The buyers refused to buy the argument saying that the same could have been done in the past five months.
