The homebuyers represented by the Noida Extension Flat Owners Welfare Association (Nefowa) today met BJP MLA from Noida Pankaj Singh and raised their concerns over the diluted form of the Uttar Pradesh RERA. The MLA assured Noida’s home buyers that he would take up the buyers concern in a discussion with chief minister Yogi Adityanath in Lucknow over next few days and bring clarity to the issue of RERA and the way it is to be implemented in the state.
The buyers from various projects of Amrapali group also met Singh today over the builder’s inability to deliver the apartments on schedule. Singh has assured strict government action in all homebuyer related issues at the meeting.
According to the buyers’ group, the RERA rules implemented in the state is in diluted form and it needs to be withdrawn so that an undiluted form of RERA is introduced and implemented. But, not much has been done by the new government. Nefowa also raised concerns over the Amrapali group’s failure to deliver the flats, some of which are overdue by seven years.
