In a circular issued on Monday, MahaRERA announced that the developers who have already uploaded their document on MahaRERA website can make corrections or revisions in the documents following the permission of the authority from September 1. The new circular is issued with an aim to encourage the developers to speed up the registration of their projects as only 5% of total 10,000 estimated ongoing projects have been registered till July 15 according to MahaRERA. Developers will have to pay a fee of Rs. 5,000 for every change made.
The developers have been demanding that they should be allowed to correct the documents uploaded and cleared by MahaRERA. This circular comes as relief for them. CREDAI Maharashtra welcomed the new circular and expected that it would encourage the developers to register their projects. It is also urging the developers to register as soon as possible.
