Palm Beach agency now part of William Raveis Real Estate

A Palm Beach real estate agency has a new name, a new Worth Avenue address and a broader reach after entering into a joint venture with New England-based powerhouse agency William Raveis Real Estate, according to the principals of both family-owned firms. Fite Group Luxury Homes is now operating as William Raveis Real Estate South Florida, said David Fite, who with his wife, Nadine, will continue to run the Palm Beach location and its satellite offices in Delray Beach and Wellington and Mirasol Realty in Palm Beach Gardens. Chairman and CEO William “Bill” Raveis founded his company in 1974 in Fairfield, Connecticut, and today it is ranked by RealTrends.com as the country’s ninth-largest real estate company and the No. 1 privately held agency in the Northeast. There are 130 company-owned and affiliate offices, the vast majority in Connecticut, Massachusetts, New York, New Jersey, Vermont, Maine, New Hampshire and Rhode Island. With more than 4,000 agents, the company is headquartered in Shelton, Connecticut. The firm also offers mortgage and insurance services. “It’s a new joint venture,” Raveis said. “They put in their assets and we put in our assets. The terms are that we’re happy and they’re happy.”
