3 dead, 2 seriously hurt in Florida interstate crash that involved cement mixer

Three people were killed and two others were seriously injured Monday in a crash on a Florida interstate Monday, authorities said. According to the Florida Highway Patrol, the crash involved seven vehicles, including a cement mixer, on the northbound lanes of Interstate 75 in Sarasota. According to the Florida Highway Patrol, the man driving a 2006 Mack cement mixer was killed, the media reported. Also killed was a man driving a Dodge Durango and a man driving a 2018 Dodge 2500. All three victims’ names were being withheld pending notification of next of kin.
