The 9th Realty Plus Conclave & Excellence Awards - North 2017 concluded on a grand note. Held on October 25, 2017 at Hotel Leela Ambience in Gurugram, the event witnessed the coming together of leaders of the Delhi-NCR real-estate. The 9th edition of Realty Plus Conclave and Excellence Awards-North comprising informative presentations and intriguing discussions on topical issue of the sector was also the centre of industry networking for all the stakeholders of Delhi NCR realty. Some of the eminent personalities gracing the occasion were - Shekhar Dutt, Former National Security Advisor & Former Governor of Chattisgarh, Dr. P S N Rao, Chairman Delhi Urban Arts Commission and Vijendra Gupta, BJP MLA & Member BJP National Executive, Leader of the opposition in Delhi. Acknowledging the presence of Shri Vijendra Gupta, BJP MLA at the event, he said that the government initiatives and positive policies will help take the realty sector of India to newer growth potential. As part of the DDA Committee, he had initiated online processes for smooth functioning of the department and for ease of business for the developers. Realty Revives The conclave themed ‘Realty Revives’ saw some hard-hitting and pertinent discussions on the aspects of RERA and Affordable housing in the context of Delhi NCR real estate market. Affordable Housing: a Game Changer The panel moderated by Anuj Puri, Chairman Anarock Property Consultants discussed the demand, and viability of Affordable Housing projects and the challenges of developing low cost housing. The panellists included Pradeep Aggarwal, Chairman, Signature Global; Vineet Relia, Managing Director, SARE Homes; Pradeep Jain, Chairman, Parsvnath Group; Rohtas Goel, Chairman & MD, Omaxe Group and Anushree Srivastava, Chief Executive Officer, zVesta. RERA- Experiences & Influences RERA introduced With RERA Indian real estate industry got its first regulator and all the progressive developers believe that RERA is good for the realty sector in long run, as now only the serious real estate developers will remain in the business and RERA will also help in bringing the customer’s confidence back. The session on RERA was aimed at analysing and understanding the post RERA climate. Moderated by Neeraj Bansal – Partner and Head ASEAN Corridor & BCRE Sector, KPMG in India, the panel deliberated on the experiences of the developers and the impact of RERA going forward.
