Growing ecommerce demand, changing consumer consumption patterns and rapid adoption of omnichannel distribution models by companies in the backdrop of the Covid-19 outbreak are likely to push demand for warehousing and logistics spaces across the country. The industrial and warehousing segment, which has been the most resilient real estate segment in India, is set to bounce back the fastest and strongest after the pandemic, said experts. Although both demand and supply are expected to soften in the near to medium term, a supply contraction is expected to lead to a dip in vacancies and better pricing.
