Vellore to get Rs 934 crore
The corporation of Vellore has decided to put Vellore fort and its surrounding areas under the Smart City Mission to promote tourism and heritage of the city. The total project cost is Rs 934.23 crore under the smart city benefitting 95,488 people and 7,317 private firms. “Medical, heritage, education and tourism are the lifeline of the Vellore city. So we are giving paramount importance to these sectors under the Smart City Project,” said T. Balasubramanian, corporation engineer.
