UP Govt Gives Nod to Master Plan of Noida Airport
The master plan of Noida International Airport has been approved by the UP government. Holding the final meeting before the launch ceremony, the UP chief secretary had called all the directors of Noida International Airport Limited (NIAL), a special purpose vehicle set up by the state government for the project, in Lucknow. During the review meeting, the NIAL board put up the master plan of the airport for approval. As a procedural step, the board presided by the chief secretary approved the master plan and gave the go-ahead to NIAL and the Yamuna Expressway Authority to commence work after sanctioning the building plan. YEIDA is expected to approve the building plan and layout of the project on Monday. NIAL will establish the project along with the subsidiary of the airport concessionaire Zurich AG, while YEIDA will give permission to start construction at the project site.
