Dadar police has arrested two directors of a construction company which allegedly floated a bogus residential scheme for the middle income group, forged loan documents and availed Rs 13.5-crore loan from a finance company. The accused have been identified as MinalUmrania and Vaishali Savalkar, directors of Real Buildcon and Infrastructure Ltd. Police are looking for another director Anand Kadam, his wife Kavita and two agents, Santosh Vishwakarma and Tanuja Vishwakarma. Aspire Home Finance Corporation Ltd (AHFCL) lodged a complaint recently alleging Santosh and the Kadams sought loans for 134 people who were buying flats in three upcoming projects at Karjat. "The finance company sanctioned nearly Rs 14 crore," a police officer said. When there was default on repayment, bank officials approached the individuals who said they were never given possession of the properties.
