Namma Bengaluru Foundation (NBF has been Petitioner in the case since 2014, first in the NGT and later in the Supreme Court. Founded by Member of Parliament, Sh. Rajeev Chandrasekhar, NBF has been at the forefront in the fight to reclaim Bellandur-Agra Catchment area from the clutches of vested interests since March 2014, when it took this fight the NGT and later continued to fight this matter in the Supreme Court. Welcoming the Hon’ble Supreme Court’s order, MP Rajeev Chandrasekhar said “This was a big David vs Goliath legal fight that was fought all the way to the Supreme Court after first petitioning the NGT. The Builders (supported by Rahul Gandhi’s govt) with their 6-7 big expensive lawyers were trying to overturn NGT order. Namma Bengaluru Foundation and other citizens with my full support have defeated builder-politico nexus that was looting Bengaluru and Bellandurlake.” “This victory exposes that double speak and hypocrisy of Rahul Gandhi and his Karnataka’s govts deep links to contractors and builders exploiting and destroying Namma Bengaluru. Their desperate attempts to overturn NGT order exposes the Karnataka govts and G Parameshwara’s support to these big builders. Despite money power they used - law and people prevailed in Supreme court. Lawbreaking Builders beware!” Chandrasekhar added.
