Supervisor held for Mahagun robbery
With the arrest of seven accused, including the company’s supervisor, an MBA and a commerce postgraduate, Noida police on Saturday claimed to have solved the robbery at the Mahagun real estate developer’s office in Sector 63 last month. Seven more accused are, however, absconding. Police said to reporters that they have managed to recover only Rs. 8.5 lakh so far from the accused in their custody, along with the Santro used in the robbery, the two DVRs which the robbers took away to remove evidence, a cylinder laced with the gas cutter and equipment for breaking the safe, two bikes and three pistols. According to police, the conspiracy for the robbery had been planned much in advance after Lalit, a native of Mainpuri, who works as a supervisor with the Mahaguncompany, informed the other accused about the cash kept in the safe inside the company’s office in Sector 63.
