Sumadhura Group organises Sumadhura Venturers’ Fair, as part of Women’s Day celebration
Sumadhura Group, one of the South India’s leading realtors, as part of International Women’s Day celebrations, took an initiative in bringing all of its communities together for the empowerment of women. The initiative was driven by a daylong event - SumadhuraVenturers’ Fair, an effort towards the celebration of womanhood and appreciate women in every walk of life. The event saw a mini-exhibition being held, which comprised of 35 stalls that allowed budding women entrepreneurs to showcase their unique talents and expertise. To support its theme #BalanceForBetter, the company provided a platform for women entrepreneurs, leaders, and achievers from various fields to celebrate womanhood. Speaking on the significance of this occasion, the chief guest Indira Varadarajan, Executive Director, SNS Foundation said, “In the context of gender diversity and equality, which has gained attention globally, it’s great to see that Sumadhura Group is fostering a spirit of driving unity and diversity within their communities. This gives a strong platform for one to unleash their inherent talents, irrespective of gender, status or other societal biases. In my opinion, every organization has an onus to contribute towards society in a meaningful way.” Keeping in mind gender equality and women empowerment, the event focused on innovative ways to help women in their overall growth. The activities of the day included cultural programmes, panel discussion on women’s issues in solidarity, counselling on entrepreneurship, hygiene advice by experts, a fun-filled fashion show, and a series of guest talks by prominent women achievers across all walks of life. Also, each Sumadhura community was given an opportunity to perform on the International Women’s Day theme, with their own interpretation. On the importance of encouraging gender equality within communities & organisations, Mr Madhusudhan G, Chairman and MD, Sumadhura Group, said “Since our inception, it has been our constant endeavour to be sensitive towards the cause of gender equality, and this reflects in the equitable ratio of women employees working with us. Every year we organise events to celebrate and embrace diversity, and this year too we have planned a series of exciting activities to make it a memorable day for all our community members.”
