Skyline Constructions' MD arrested for cheating home buyers
The Central Crime Branch (CCB) has arrested an entrepreneur who allegedly duped people of at least Rs 100 crore after promising to build flats for them. They have recovered a Range Rover and an Audi car from AvinashPrabhu, managing director of Skyline Constructions and Housing Pvt Ltd and KalmaneKoffee, a coffee shop chain. Police commissioner T Suneel Kumar said that Avinash and his brother DhirajPrabhu collected crores of rupees from people saying they were constructing apartments at Hennur, Horamavu, Yelahanka and inMangaluru but deceived them. Police said the probe revealed that Avinash had collected at least Rs 100 crore from 200 people and bought five acres of land in Kengeri, 3 acres in Allalasandra, 3 acres in Hennur, 7 acres in Kanakapura, 8.5 acres in Mangaluru, half an acre in Chennai and invested money in KalmaneKoffee, which has 11 outlets in Bengaluru. He also has properties outside Bengaluru. He allegedly cheated people in the name of projects like Skyline Aura-100 in K Narayanapura, Skyline Retreat in Horamavu, Skylike Acacia on Hennur Main Road, Skyline Villa Maria on Rest House Road, Skyline Waterfront in Yelahanka, and Skyline Blueberry and Best House in Mangaluru.
