Considering the urgency of the steady rise in COVID-19 cases in Mumbai, MCGM has set up a COVID Care Centre at Goregaon’s NESCO Ground, with the support of Romell Group. Equipped to accommodate 2600 oxygenated beds – a first for Mumbai, it will be the biggest COVID Care Centre in India. MCGM also seeks to install about 200 ICU beds and 50 beds specifically for the dialysis centre. Recognizing the need for recreation and its role in quick recovery, Romell Group has modelled the COVID Centre in a way that apart from functioning as a hospital, it also provides ample leisure areas. The centre has provisions for TV sets, open areas for relaxation, yoga and walking, thus ensuring the overall wellness of patients undergoing treatment. The first phase of the COVID care centre was completed in 10 days with support from Romell Group. Entirely managed by MCGM, this centre is now operational. Apart from this initiative, Romell Group has also contributed to the cause by distributing safety gear to the Mumbai police.
