RMC demolishes 100 properties
The town planning department of Rajkot Municipal Corporation (RMC) demolished 99 houses and two shops to clear way for 24-meter road from Raiyadhar Filter plants to Jamnagar Road. According to RMC officials, the occupants were served notices about the demolition well in advance. “The demolition was completed peacefully and the affected families will be given houses as per the rules,” said Banchhanidhi Pani, municipal commissioner, Rajkot. Five teams were formed with five earth moving machines to complete the demolition.
