The Realty+ Conclave and Excellence Awards – South 2019 held on 10 Oct in Bengaluru’s Taj Vivanta was a grand affair that brought together stalwarts of the real estate industry. The daylong event celebrated the achievements of southern real estate and motivated the industry to carry on the good work.
The Conclave in the afternoon began with the address by Guest of Honor Arvind Limbavali, Member Legislative Assembly, Mahadevapura, Karnataka.
Following the opening address, began the first plenary session based on a very current subject Finding Resolution to Real Estate Financial Distress. The session was moderated by Gagan Randev, National Director - Capital Markets, Colliers International India and the imminent panellists were Anuj Kapoor, Founder and Managing Director, StratCap Corporate Advisors; Anuranjan Mohnot, Managing Director and CEO, Amplus Capital Advisors Private Limited; Puneet Bhatia, Senior Director, ICICI Venture Funds Management Company Ltd; Ravindra Pai, Managing Director, Century Real Estate Holdings Pvt Ltd; Vinamra Srivastava, CEO, Business Parks, India, CapitaLand.
The very engaging finance panel was followed by the discussion on Striking a Balance –Designing Cities for Development & Liveability. This session had moderated Chitra Vishwanath, Principal Architect and Managing Director of BIOME Environment Solutions Private Limited and panellist Dr. Chandrashekar Hariharan, Founder Chairman BCIL Zed Homes and Founder Trustee, AltTech Dr Chandrashekar; Emanuele Mattutini, Director - Design & Projects RSP Architects Planners & Engineers; Fahed Abdul Majeed, Principal Architect, Fahed+Architects; Prof. Ar. Going green and incorporating sustainable habits being the need of the hour the conclaves next discussion focused on Faster Smarter Greener – The Future of Real Estate Construction. The panellists were Adarsh Narahari, MD, Primus Lifespaces Pvt Ltd; Arun Manikya, Senior Vice President, Schindler India Pvt. Ltd; Dhamotharan S, Director, FountainHead Design Group; Dr. L.R. Manjunatha, Chairman -Indian Concrete Institute-Bengaluru chapter and Nejeeb Khan, Managing Director KGD Architecture. The discussion was moderated by Velprakash K, Executive Director & Head, Industrial, Development Advisory & Life Sciences, Project & Development Services, Jones Lang LaSalle Property Consultants (I) P Ltd.
The Rise Of Non-Metros - Smaller Cities Turning Smart New Realty Growth Centres was the focus of the fourth plenary session which had panellist P C Sukanand, CMD Eminence Homes & Spaces; Ramesh Bulchandani, Chairman, KMB group; Suhail Rahman, MD & CEO at CoEvolve Estates; Suresh Hari, Chairman, CREDAI Bengaluru; Shabeer Sait, Executive Head Of Operations, Irshads Property Matters and the session moderator was Mudassir Zaidi, Executive Director – North, Knight Frank.
The ultimate discussion of the conclave was on one of the most recent additions to the real estate market, Joys of Shared Economy – Co-Working & Co-Living Are Defying the Realty Slowdown. The dynamic discussion was moderated by Amit Wadhwani, Managing Director, Sai Estate Consultants Chembur Pvt. Ltd and had panellists Azaan Feroz Sait, Founder & Chief Happiness Officer, The Hub Bengaluru; Kahraman Yigit - Co founder and CEO, Embassy Co Living; Kishore Jain, Managing Director, Jain Heights & Structures Pvt. The conclave was followed by thought provoking and inspiring dialogues by special guests J.C. The highlights of the evening were the presentation of Lifetime Achievement Award to Mr M R Jaishankar.
