Real estate appellate tribunal rules framed
The Tamil Nadu Real Estate Appellate Tribunal has framed regulations of its own practice and procedure, stressing on the need for digitisation of records of the Tribunal within two months from the date of disposal of appeals. The regulations have come into force from Monday, the day of uploading on the website of Tamil Nadu Real Estate Regulatory Authority. The regulations would apply to all the proceedings pending in the Tribunal on the date of their commencement, offering home buyers various regulatory benefits, including defect liability and penal action against builders who fail to handover projects on time. The regulations would be applicable for Tamil Nadu and the Union Territories of Andaman and Nicobar Islands and Puducherry.
