Rajasthan govt gets notice on commercial activities in Barkat Nagar
Rajasthan High Court has issued notice to the additional chief secretary, urban development and housing, Jaipur Development Authority and Jaipur Municipal Corporation over commercial activities in the residential area of Barkat Nagar. The single bench of Justice S P Sharma issued the notices on a petition by Prem Kumar Sharma. The petitioner said, many coaching centres and libraries are operating in the residential area illegally causing hardship to the residents. He said, the roads are only 40 feet and traffic congestion and parking problems have become endemic in the area. The court also directed the superintendent of police, traffic, Jaipur city to take action against illegal parking of vehicles and monitor the traffic in the area and posted the matter for next hearing on August 10.
