Rajasthan Government to change in Rent Control Act
The local self government (LSG) department has started an exercise to bring amendments in Rajasthan Rent Control Act (2001) after 15 years. "Earlier, the CMO had returned the amended draft after witnessing few shortcomings. The suggestions given by CMO were incorporated in amended draft. The department also gave a presentation of revised draft at CMO. In the present Act, provisions to control rent are minimum. We have studied the Rent Control Act of other states and incorporated the required changes," said an official. As per the proposed amended draft, the Rajasthan Rent Control Act will be enforced in all the cities of the state.
