The Pune Metropolitan Region Development Authority (PMRDA) has seen 25% of the ongoing projects in its limits not registering with MahaRERA within the July 31 deadline. As many as 1,500 ongoing projects in the PMRDA limits had applied for registration with MahaRERA and 365 have already received the certificates. PMRDA chief Kiran Gitte on Wednesday said all the unregistered projects will be reported to RERA authorities. Gitte said 70-80 ongoing projects were yet to be registered with MahaRERA. Pune district registered 2,908 applications as the RERA deadline came to an end on July 31 and 620 have already received certificates. Of these, 365 are from the PMRDA limits. “The PMRDA’s compliance can be around 75%,” he said. “We are aware about the projects. As the local authority, we would report about the unregistered projects to MahaRERA. This will help consumers to be aware of the unregistered projects and MahaRera can take action against such properties as well,” Gitte said.
