Nearly 14,000 residents of Amrapali who have possession of their apartments and are awaiting tripartite registrations might have to wait for some more time before the documents get processed. The Supreme Court-appointed court receiver R Venkatamani told media that preliminary checks to procure documents to authenticate ownerships has revealed that the apartments due for registry are still not free of problems and it could take some more time before the paperwork is completed. The one-month time period given by the Supreme Court for execution of registries got over on August 23. But the court receiver has not outlined a new time frame for completion of the task that the apex court had entrusted him with. Venkatramani said the estimate of 30 days that the Supreme Court had mentioned in its 270-page report dated July 23, is not conducive to ground realities and each of the apartments has loopholes that have to be addressed before the buyers get to sign the tripartite agreements.
