Panchkula proposes 2%-10% hike in collector rates
The local administration on Wednesday proposed a hike of 2% to 10% in collector rates for some sectors. The proposed rates have been put on official website of the administration. Residents have been given 15 days to offer their suggestions. According to officials, collector rates have been proposed to be increased from Rs 47,000 per square yard to Rs 52,000 per square yard in sectors 6, 7, 8; from Rs 45,000 to Rs 52,000 per square yard in sectors 4&6 of MDC, from Rs 37,000 to Rs 45,000 in Sector 12; from Rs 37,000 to Rs 39,000 in sectors 12/A, 14, 20, 21; and from Rs 45,000 to Rs 47,000 in Sector 4.
