Over 290 old buildings on verge of collapse in Kashi
Even as 298 dilapidated buildings of old city areas of Kashi are on the verge of collapse, VMC has not taken any serious action beyond issuing notices to the owners. That this inaction of VMC is putting lives of people at stake has become clear in the past three days as many such buildings have collapsed in heavy showers. Following rain on September 17 and 18, several dilapidated houses collapsed in the old city localities. An old dilapidated house collapsed in Brahmcharinigali near Durgaghat.
