NPCCL to develop over 200 residential quarters for CBIC officials in Delhi
The National Projects Construction Corporation (NPCCL) will construct 256 residential quarters for officials of Central Board of Indirect Taxes and Customs (CBIC) in Sector 9, Dwarka, New Delhi, the company said in a media release. "It was a long pending demand for residential accommodation for the officers. He further announced that the department should explore the possibilities to come up with more projects to cater the demand for accommodation," said S Ramesh, chairman, CBIC. The residential project will cost about Rs 211 crore and is expected to be completed within 34 months. The department of revenue got the land measuring 17,832 sq meters for the purpose of institutional housing to meet the accommodation requirement and guest house cum transit hostel along with community facilities of its officials. "The land was initially allotted by the Delhi Development Authority (DDA) to Central Board of Direct Taxes, later on it was transferred to Central Board of Indirect Taxes in 1996," informed Manohar Kumar, CMD of NPCC.
