Jaypee homebuyers, stuck with delayed homes for over a decade, on May 7, held a virtual discussion with NBCC officials who assured them that the government’s construction arm would deliver 70% units in 30 months once the resolution plan is cleared. “NBCC has incorporated some of the suggestions made by us on the resolution plan submitted by it on April 28, 2021. One of them includes tower wise schedule of delivery. They have shortened the delivery timelines and would be delivering 70% (around 13,000) of the units within 30 months. All units, including plots would be delivered within 42 months,” homebuyers told. “Work would start three months after receiving all clearances and provided there is no further litigation,” buyers were told at a webinar that was chaired by PK Gupta, CMD, NBCC along with board members and the JIL team for discussions/suggestions on the resolution plan of Jaypee Infratech. NBCC has also proposed to set up a single-window redressal system to help resolve grievances of homebuyers. The single-window redressal system would be put in place after the transfer date,” they were told. It may also consider homebuyers’ representative in the steering committee, they were informed. Suraksha Group has also held a meeting with homebuyers on May 2, 2021.
