Navi Mumbai: 'Put flats near new airport in general quota'
Cidco has asked the state government to throw open 17 reserved category high-end flats in NRI Complex's phase II for open category citizens. The residential complex, also known as Seawoods Estate, is very close to the upcoming international airport in Navi Mumbai. It has 13 2BHK and 4 3BHK flats. The lottery for the flats was attempted several times but failed to evoke the desired response, said Cidco MD Lokesh Chandra. The conversion is expected to evince interest, he added. Four of the 17 flats have been reserved for Cidco employees and the remaining for various castes and communities in accordance with government norms. The marketing department of Cidco has stated that the agency can convert unsold reserved flats into general category with a government nod. Once the transharbour link is constructed, the complex will not be far from south Mumbai. Also, water transport is being developed.
