National Safety Council of India confers 10 Construction Safety awards to ShapoorjiPallonji
National Safety Council of India (NSCI) conferred ShapoorjiPallonji’s Engineering & Construction (SP E&C) division with 7 Construction Safety Awards in the category of ‘Buildings’. This is the first time since the awards were launched in 2009, for a single entity to win 7 awards in one category. NSCI Safety Awards are highly coveted Awards at the national level for recognizing meritorious performance and effective safety and health management systems and procedures established by organisations in Manufacturing, Construction and MSME sectors. The awards were distributed by Ms.Shibani Swain – Additional Secretary & Financial Advisor, Ministry of Labour & Employment, Government of India and Mr.LalitGabhane – Director General, NSCI to the team from ShapoorjiPallonji Engineering & Construction during the Awards Ceremony held at New Delhi on 27th February 2019. “We are constantly creating benchmarks in quality standards and construction safety, in the industry, seeking and successfully implementing strategies towards our Safety motto of ‘Either Safe Work Else Refusal’,” commented Alok Srivastava, Vice President and Corporate Head, HSE at ShapoorjiPallonji E&C, adding that there are 400 safety champions across the globe who drive the highest standards in safety across projects. “We are honored that our projects have been awarded by NSCI. I would like to congratulate the project teams on ground who are focused on upholding safety and our leadership team, for their insistence on making safety a priority across everything we do,” said Mr. S.C.
