Naredco demands to include ‘ Gurgaon’ in the smart city mission
Realtors’ body Naredco demanded that Gurgaon should be included in the government’s Smart City programme as the city meets most of the criteria. Altogether, 100 cities are to be included in the Smart City Mission, in which only 33 cities have been declared. “We demand that Gurgaon be declared as the smart city as it meets all the requirements. Haryana government and private sector have already made a lot of investment for the development of this city,” Naredco Chairman, Rajeev Talwar said. Under the Smart City Programme, each selected city will be given Rs 500 crore over the period of five years by the centre with the respective states expected to make a matching contribution.
