Nabard to pay fee for flats in modern housing complex
The resident welfare association of the modern housing complex (RWA-MHC) has decided to charge a membership fee from Nabard, which owns flats in the area. The decision was taken by the RWA-MHC during their annual general body meeting which was held in December. The RWA-MHC has already approached Nabard, which has 70 flats in the MHC. The resident welfare association of the MHC decided that the organisation will pay a lifetime membership for these flats and the residents will be able to vote in the association elections. Col Gursewak Singh, president, RWA-MHC, said the official communication from Nabard was yet to be received, however, the authorities had agreed to it verbally. He said for per flat, the authorities had to pay Rs 1,000 to the association. The association took the decision as Haryana tourism and the PGI also owns flats in the MHC. The organisations used to allot flats to their employees. The association wanted that during the stay in the MHC, the families staying in such flats should also participate in the activities of the RWA-MHC. It was also decided in the annual meeting that after Nabard paid the charges for lifetime membership, a similar model would be mooted out with the Haryana tourism and PGI, who also owns flats in the MHC.
