Man held for duping Pune-based builder

Market Yard police have arrested a man for duping a developer to the tune of Rs 1.12 crore by selling a plot of land using forged papers. The arrested accused and his siblings allegedly sold a land to a developer which is located in Shiraswadi at Wadebolai. Investigation revealed that the land belonged to the accused but it had already been sold in 2008 to another person. The accused forged papers for the plot and used it to resell it. Cops have arrested Manish Chawda (32), a resident of Rasta Peth, in connection with the forgery. Manish had been booked along with his brother Sandip, sister Poonam Solanki, TusharKamble and Mahesh Solanki for cheating and forgery under sections 420, 467 to 471and 34 of the Indian Penal Code. Developer PravinJagtap (48) resident of Bibvewadi had lodged a complaint against them. The incident took place between March 2015 and January 2018.
