MahaRERA receives more than 800 registrations post deadline

Maharashtra Real Estate Regulatory Authority (MahaRERA) gets more than 800 project registrations after the deadline ended. The number of online projects registered with MahaRERA on Friday touched 11,620. Till July 31, the number of registrations within the three month deadline stood at 10,582. While decision of levying a penalty of Rs. 50,000 per project on the 480 projects registered on August 1 and 2 was decided by the committee, the decision on registrations which came in on August 3 and 4 will be taken in another meeting of the committee. Officials from MahaRERA confirmed that registrations will be allowed, but the decision on the penalty and whether or not the developers will be issued a certificate will be taken by the committee. Meanwhile, MahaRERA on Friday also took charge as regulator for the union territories of Daman and Diu, and Dadra and Nagar Haveli.
