MahaRERA must speed up hearing, execution of orders
Taking up the cause of citizens facing delay in the execution of Maharashtra Real Estate Regulatory Authority (MahaRERA)’s orders concerning DSK and other projects, the Indian Human Rights Council demanded their quick implementation. The Indian Human Rights Council (IHRC) — a registered association under the ministry of corporate affairs — has received several complaints from the flat owners of DSK projects about non-execution of MahaRERA orders. “The orders on compensation have been deliberately kept on hold. The MahaRERA should ensure that they are brought to logical conclusion as per the process,” said AvinashMokashi, the IHRC chairman. Many citizens have to wait for long to get MahaRERA orders implemented, especially concerning DSK projects, said the project-affected people. AmeyaNavathe, who represented several others, said the MahaRERA should speed up the hearing and execution of orders. “Instead of handing over orders only on paper, the execution of the orders issued by MahaRERA should be checked. There should be a timeline to check if the actual monetary compensation has been received by the project-affected,” said Navathe.
