Lucknow development body to promote green belt around housing units
Making provision for a green belt around your new housing unit may get you a discount of 10% on the map approval fee and other charges levied by Lucknow Development Authority (LDA). Officials said a proposal on the same would be tabled in the annual budget of LDA on July 30. If cleared, both individuals and developers will have to make provisions in the building map for an open area to plant saplings. The parameters of plantation will be decided at the meeting. “Developers coming for approval of building plans should make provision for planting saplings. They can do balcony or terrace gardening; vacant space for gardening in front of a housing unit will also be approved. In the process, they can earn a 10% discount on processing fees if the proposal gets a nod,” an official said.
