Karnataka RERA covers many ongoing projects, cheers homebuyers
Amid the criticism over the ‘diluted’ RERA rules, Karnataka government published a notification on Monday which stated that only ongoing projects “where all development works have been completed as per the Act and certified by the competent agency” are exempted from RERA, leading to encourage the homebuyers. The homebuyers criticized the government over the draft rules published last week which exempted the projects where 60% development work had been completed. Homebuyers’ pressure group ‘Fight for RERA’ had approached to the chief minister of the state and raised concern over the provision that it was against the customers. This issue seems to have been addressed.
