Jaipur development body earns Rs 3 crore by auctioning farmhouse land
The cash-strapped JDA earned a revenue of Rs 3 crore by selling farmhouse land through auction on Saturday. The sale has motivated the civic body officials as the real estate market had been slow for too long. The civic body sold 3154 sq m land in Govindpura Ropada scheme near Goner. A JDA official said, “We sold plot number 16 in Satyam block. The minimum bid for the plot was Rs 8,500.” The officials are upbeat and hoping to earn more revenue as there are 24 more farmhouses of 2,600 to 4,958 sqm size and 12 resort plots ranging from 8,000 to 13,000 sq m at Govindpura Ropada on Goner Road. The farmhouse and resort plot is located 15 minutes from Jawahar Circle and 10 minutes from NRI Colony and only one minute from Indira Gandhi Nagar. Officials said, constant steps are being taken to increase the revenue. Taking note of the prolonged slump in the real estate market, the JDA recently reduced the reserve price of uninhabited land in its region by 10-37%.
