Prominent town planner and leading developer, NK Patel has taken over as the national president of Institute of Town Planners India (ITPI), New Delhi a premier national body of town planners. Mr. NK Patel is a gold medalist post-graduate in Urban Planning from CEPT. He served in Gujarat government’s town planning department, and also worked as town planner in the Ahmedabad Urban Development Authority (AUDA) for nearly 17 years. Currently, he is serving as chairman of The National Real Estate Development Council (NAREDCO), Gujarat chapter. He is also a former president of Gujarat Institute of Civil Engineers and Architects (GICEA) and past chairman of ITPI’s Gujarat chapter. ITPI works to promote dynamic, inclusive and integrated Town and Country planning practice, education, research and institutional mechanism for vibrant, sustainable and resilient spatio-economic development of towns, cities and regions. ITPI has its role carved to promote planned, economic, scientific and artistic development of towns, cities and rural areas, and to foster the teaching of subjects related to town and country planning among others.
