Huda sets up wing
The Haryana Urban Development Authority (Huda) has created an enforcement wing to carry out continuous anti-encroachment drives and reclaim its land.
According to an estimate, Huda land worth around Rs 5,000 crore has been encroached in Gurgaon.
The enforcement wing will be headed by sub-divisional officer HS Jakhad with three junior engineers, AK Rana, Virendra Chouhan and Ajmer Singh. The move comes in wake of the recent incidents where private parties have sold off Huda land and even developed illegal colonies right under the nose of urban development officials.
