Houses to be Constructed in Half Time
NBCC (India) Limited, a blue-chip Government of India Navratna Enterprise under the Ministry of Urban Development, has signed an agreement with South Korea, Russia, Hungary, UK, US, Oman and Malaysia to construct the houses in less time with the use of modular technique. According to NBCC, with this technique the cost of construction will also be lowered by 50 percent. Anoop Kumar Mittal, Chairman and Managing Director, NBCC (India) Limited said, “With the new technique, the construction of the houses can be done in a much eco-friendly way. Composite steel structure, light concrete, aluminum framework will be used in this technique for construction.” “The modular technique and other techniques will help in completing the construction in quick time which will help in providing affordable homes,” he added.
