A report published by property portal PropEquity says that post demonetization, the average home sales in top 10 cities across India declined by 36%. Bengaluru saw the biggest fall of 44% in home sales followed by Kolkata in the January to September period this year as compared with the same period last year. The other cities which recorded the fall were Ahmedabad with 42%, Noida with 41%, Pune with 39%, Chennai with 37%, Gurugram with 36%, Hyderabad with 30%, Thane with 29% and Mumbai with the lease drop of 23%.
