Government to form real estate regulators
The government is planning to ask states to set up to interim real estate regulators and start basic functions like registration of projects till the time the final regulator is being set up.
"We will draw the states' attention that this provision exists and they can use it. I am expecting at least major states to notify rules and set up interim regulators by December," Rajiv Ranjan Mishra, joint secretary, ministry of housing and urban poverty alleviation (HUPA) told.
